The day for our convention finally arrived and as I've predicted {haha not really, it was accuweather.com who kept me up to date with the country's crazy weather for the past 2 weeks}, it did rain and it was accompanied by strong winds. By the time we arrived in Tagaytay the road was covered in fog, it was frightening coz' we couldn't see the road that well. It was a good thing Daddy Concepcion was good at driving. A few minutes after we arrived in Tagaytay, we managed to locate the venue.

The cold wind awakened my sleepy soul as I stepped out of the van. I love the cold and tingling breeze of Tagaytay. It's gonna be a good day.

Super foggy :|
My co-workers told me stories about their experience in the past 2 convention the Philippine Society of Nephrology held. The told me about the "UNLI_KAPE", "UNLI-SAGING", & that I wouldn't have to worry about my stomach because the serve delicious food. Indeed, their stories were true. For our breakfast we have our choice of variant, either Tocino or Bangus. The food were served in a box; a good thing because buffets can be chaotic during big conventions- lalo na sa mga taong PG hahahahahaha! And they also served us tiny bottled waters; they have water dispensers so we could refill our bottle- I also have to add "UNLI-TUBIG"! Two hours after breakfast they served us Ensaymada, me and my co-worker made coffee to go with it. Just as we were about to sit down and sip hot coffee to fight off the cold and prevent us from dozing during the presentation, they announced that we could go outside and get freebies from sponsors. AND SO WE DID! hahaha we dashed outside and frantically ran from booth to booth! IT WAS SO MUCH FUN! Plus I got to talk to people I trained with last year!

Our sponsor for this convention. Thanks B|Braun!
After all the ruckus and chaos we then went on with our previous endeavor, and that is to drink coffee. I ate the Ensaymada along with my coffee which in the end was a wrong move because a few minutes later after I finished eating my said snack, the servers were now handing out food for lunch. :| They had two variants, Fish Fillet and Chicken Adobo. I wasn't able to eat my lunch so instead I listened to the speaker as it was a working lunch.

The convention focused more on the nutrition for hemodialysis patients and how most of our patients are malnourished. It gave us a whole new perception about the patient's proper diet and that totally avoiding foods which we think are bad for our patients can actually worsen their health. There has to be balance and each patient should have individualized diets from Nutritionists/Dietitians. {May natutunan naman pala talga ako! hahahaha!} And by mid-afternoon they served us Suman, which I also didn't eat. :p but I did bring the food home with me.

By the end of the seminar we had a raffle draw. I do admit, all the prizes were like pricey and the two major prizes are like-"What??? They just give those away???"-hahaha!!! The two major prizes were Samsung Galaxy Tab & an iPad Mini for crying out loud!!! God I wish I was that lucky!

                                                                                          Anyhoo...

I also took pictures as I was the assigned photographer for that day. Here are our pics.
